In the golfing world today, everybody knows who Tiger Woods is and how he became so successful.

Many people even know about his downfall several years ago regarding his love life; however, Tiger is coming back, and has even won a few tournaments after his worldwide downturn.

Of course, he isn’t the most famous or the most successful golfer in today’s generation anymore, as there are still many people who have taken his place in the industry. In fact, Tiger isn’t even in the top 10 golfers; he’s currently passed the #20 mark in the overall PGA Rankings.

The #1 golfer this 2012

As of 2012, the best golfer right now is Luke Donald, and he has over 500 points in the PGA Tour. Luke is a wonderful golfer who is from Hertfordshire. He’s been competing in the PGA for several years, but it was just recently when his game started to reach its next level for being on the top of his game.

He leads the entire pack by lots of points on the tour, so he’s definitely going to stay up there for quite awhile before anybody goes there.

The second golfer whose up there is Lee Westwood. Lee, just like Luke, is an English golf player from England, and he definitely takes his European skills everywhere he goes on the tour. Lee has earned millions of dollars already, and he takes the golfing industry to a whole new level with his excellence on the course.

He’s achieved two PGA Tour wins, and has won many other titles in the other golfing tours. He’s known for winning many tournaments in the Asian Tour, The Japan Tour, and The European Tour. Lee is just a few points behind Luke, but Lee’s going to need a bit more wins before he actually gets bumped up to number one.

Rory Mcilroy easily snags the third spot on the PGA Tour. He’s won several tournaments despite his age, and he takes the sport to a whole new level considering that he’s much younger than many of the other top golfers on the tour. He’s known for winning two tournaments on the PGA Tour and three on the European Tour.

He’s a big success nowadays, and he’s only 22; shocking many other people for his amazing success in the sport. He’s truly grown over the past few years, and will continue to grow with more years to practice. Rory’s only a few points behind Lee in the overall rankings of the PGA Tour, so it won’t be long until he becomes #2.

Those three golfers are definitely some of the best in the world right now, and their expertise exceeds expectations completely. They are amazingly gifted, but they know that their gifts needed to be honed in order for them to truly succeed, which is why you really need to consider practicing a lot as well if you really want to succeed like those golfers above. Luke, Lee, and Rory, are all different golfers and expect different things from themselves, and only time will tell when the two golfers make it to the top.
